 Bread Mold (Neurospora crassa )

In Phylum Ascomycota sexual spores are borne internally in a sac called an ascus.  Asexual spores are borne externally as conidia.  This fungi includes lichens and the majority of the fungi that lack morphological evidence of sexual reproduction

This is the fungi phylum that yeast resides in.  Yeast is what causes bread to rise and without it we wouldnt have beer.  Without beer millions of dollars wouldnt be poured into the economy and life as we know it would be different.
