Protists who belong to the phylum Ciliphora are protozoans who are fresh water organisms and use cilia to move. They have the most complex structure of all cells. They have a large macronucleus and several micronuclei. They are heterothrophs and reproduce sexually using a method called conjugation. In this method the micronuclei are exchanged between the two individual species involved.
