Ed Hunt's Animal Kingdom

Organisms in this phyla  have a flagella that is used to propel the organism.  They also have chloroplast and can creat energy using photosynthesis.  However, these organisms can also be heterotrophs and get energy by consuming other organisms.  The most classic example of an organism in this phyla would be the Euglena.  The Euglena has a light sensitive spot that allows it to sense where light is to better photosynthesize.  It is not an actual eye however.
